The big trend this winter was dark makeup, also known as black makeup. Attractive as it may be, this style is not easy to pull off for everyday wear.
Here are 4 simple and trendy tips to rock the black makeup look:

1. VALUE BLACK MAKE-UP WITH A NUDE TINT

The most important trick is to work with your complexion: As Carole Colombani would say: “It’s simple, no nude complexion, no black makeup.” It is necessary to have a natural clean complexion to pull off this look. No areas of brightness, blush, or contouring.

2. STRETCH YOUR BLACK SMOKEY-EYES

To get a dark look without falling into the punk genre, smoky-eyes must absolutely be dimmed and not overly smoky. For this look, use black kohl eyeliner, between the upper and lower eyelashes and use waterproof liner to avoid panda eyes. Smear and blur the end result with a brush.

3. OPT FOR “LIE-DE-VIN” COLOURED LIPS

This tint has character while remaining much softer than black. “Before applying lipstick, dead skin must be removed with a soft lip scrub. Once you apply the lipstick, trace the outline of the mouth with a pencil of the same color to blend both nicely.” For those of us who dare to wear black lips, we prefer choosing a lipstick with a matte texture for a refined lip.

4. AVOID THE COMPLETE BLACK LOOK

You must decide between the “Lie-De-Vin” mouth and “Black Smokey Eyes!” It’s impossible to wear both at the same time, especially if you’re going to work or to dine with your stepmother.
